A note from Leigh Hopkins:
For the live workshop, I recommend bringing a pen or pencil and paper—even if you usually write on a computer, there’s something grounding about working by hand in this space. You may also want a drink nearby, along with a blanket or pillow and loose, comfortable clothing so your body can settle.
If it feels supportive, you’re welcome to bring a candle or incense, photographs, a few rocks or natural objects, or palo santo wood for clearing—entirely optional, simply offered as ways to help you create a sense of ease and presence.
POLYVAGAL WRITING is designed to gently invite participants into deeper, sometimes darker inner terrain—but you won’t go there alone. The practice is slow and supportive, with frequent opportunities to pause, orient, and reconnect with the body. Somatic practices are woven throughout, offering multiple ways to regulate, ground, and stay resourced as you move through the work.
I welcome you to this space, just as you are.
