About Course
MOON JOY: Lessons from the Moon is a 90-minute interactive experience inspired by the Artemis II astronauts, who witnessed Earth from space and sent back messages of hope and love. The workshop centers on the “overview effect” — the profound shift in awareness marked by awe, interconnectedness, and a rethinking of what truly matters. Through images, quotes from the astronauts, moon music, video, discussion, guided meditation, and embodied writing, participants are invited to widen the lens, sit with the vastness and intimacy of being alive, and return with a deeper sense of what matters — without ever leaving the ground.
This 90-minute workshop begins at 8:00 p.m. EST. The call will be recorded for playback.
“Moon Joy” is a term used by NASA to describe the intense happiness, excitement, and awe experienced by the Artemis II crew and mission control during their journey around the Moon in April 2026.

“As we get close to the nearest point to the Moon and the farthest point from Earth and continue to unlock the mysteries of the cosmos, I would like to remind you of one of the most important mysteries on Earth, and that’s love. And to all of you down there on Earth and around Earth, we love you, from the moon.” — Victor Glover, crew member, Artemis II
